November.

Parental understanding and involvement are essential if anti

b
ullying work in school is to be
effective. In school we learn about bullying within a common framework

-

what it is, how it feels,
how to prevent it and what to do if it happens. Parents can be included by purchasing a copy of
the ‘Parent Pocket Guide:

Sa
y No to Bullying.’

To order your copy, please send in £1 in a named envelope.

JRSO

The Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) Chloe, Haydn,
Emily and George have already been very busy this year.
Their aim is to pass on the importance of road, bike and car
safety to everyone.

They have assisted Year 3 with their cycle training and demonstrated
the egg helmet experiment reminding children to always wear a cycle
helmet.
George and Emily went to Northampton’s Court Rooms to
find out a little bit more about

their role. Many thanks to Mrs Russell
for taking them.

Years 3 and 4 enjoyed a fantastic day out to
Rugby Art Gallery and Museum to find out more
about the Romans. Yasmin wrote: ‘The first thing we did was dressing up. I dressed up as a
rich person. I ha
d a brooch. Next we touched Roman pottery and chose th
re
e pieces
.’

Thank you
for your generosity! Genetic Disorders have sent us a certificate thanking us for our
kind donation of £141 on ‘Jeans for Genes day’.

The children and I are very excited because
:

Mrs Barnshaw’s Tea Parties

are starting again! Each week a child
from each class is chosen to come to my

Friday at 3pm

tea party because
their teacher is really impressed with the effort
and progress they are making in writing.
This week’s amazin
g wri
ters are: Lexie Crawford, Keira Stubbs,
Travis Carbin, Ruby
Heselden, James Hayes, Joshua Aldridge, Alice Spen
ce and Haydn Beswick. WELL DONE!

Film Night was a great success! We
raised £
399

and as this is matched by Barclaycard
we have a grand total of
£
79
8

to spend on books and phonics resources. Many thanks
to Mrs James and all the staff who worked hard to make it such a success.

Have a lovely weekend
