Mitchell Hall West Lawn and Entry Walks

the CP3O
committee.

was provided in February to hire Wallace Engineering to make recommendations for the scope
of work.
On March 12

and Transportation and Parking
Services

to hear about the
crowded and unsafe
conditions
ve
hicle users and pedestrians

face
circulating through and around these parking lot.


Looking Ahead:


At the request of Transp
ortation and Parking, Wallace has provided a fee
for a
traffic study
to
be used to justify a request to the City

of Edmond

to provide stop signs on
Bauman or
Ayers. The study will also
help
Wallace

redesign the lots to reduce the circulation
problems.

While reviewing the condition of the cast stone and brick exterior at Evans Hall, Meyer Plus
Associates

Murdaugh Hall Plaza Stair


Th
is project entails modification of the exterior concrete stair that leads up to the north
plaza deck. A & E
Services submitted drawings to EHS on May 10 which were permitted
May 12 and provided to Housing on May 14.


Due to safety concerns ab
out this stair, this
project has been added to the list of projects to be done this summer. Project Contact:

Murdaugh Hall Plaza Deck Repairs


Housing arranged for the removal of part of the Plaza Deck topping slabs the week of July
19 to enable Wallace
Engineers

and A & E Services to see the composition of the topping
and waterproofing membrane and preliminarily evaluate the condition of the
wat
erproofing and structural deck. There appears to be some degradation of the concrete
beam situated below the exterior lobby doors that exit onto the plaza. Wallace will further
investigate this and make recommendations for 1) temporary shoring (if needed
) and 2)
permanent repair. A & E Services will assist with recommendations for replacement of the
existing topping slab and installation of a functioning deck drainage and waterproofing
system.
