art Research Laboratory on Functional Nanomaterials

developed in the
Department of Physics is equipped with following synthesis & characterization techniques:



RF&DC Magnetron sputtering system

with dual vacuum chambers, five magnetron
guns and the facil
ity to deposit Nanocrystalline powder, thin films and multilayers by
varying Substrate temperature from


150

C to 850

C with a base pressure ≈ 10
-

Torr.



Nanoindentation with hot stage

for measuring mechanical properties of nanostructured
thin films and
heterostructures.



Cryogen Free Vibrating Sample magnetometer

with magnetic field in the range of ±5
tesla for measuring the magnetic properties of nanostructured thin films and multilayers.



Low & High temperature Dielectric, Ferroelectric and Piezoelectric

characterization
system.



Electrical transport measurement system

with closed cycle cryostat and Keithley
instruments.
