limited "Trial Versions" of
Gene Construction Kit® and Gene Inspector® are available upon request. All files created
and saved during the Trial Period can later be opened with the licensed version.
Gene Inspector is centered around an electronic notebook which can contain many kinds of
objects, including analysis results. Output from the various analyses in Gene Inspector are
placed into the notebook as they are run, showing users the results and allowing
annotations directly on the page. Text wraps around notebook objects and can be used to
discuss experimental results just as in a paper lab notebook.
Gene Inspector features a standard interface for setting up and running any of the more
than 40 built
in DNA and protein analyses. This straight
forward interface allows users to
spend more time analyzing results rather than deciphering the software manual. Analyses
are first chosen from a scrollable list. As an item in the list is selected, "help" information
appears next to the selected analysis describing that analysis.
